Time truly does fly when you marry ‘your person.’ How has it been 2 years? I. Don’t. Get. It. Happy 2 year anniversary, APH! Thanks for being both a wonderful husband and best friend to me.
As a throwback to #ThePershWedding in October 2014 and for some Fall wedding inspiration, I decided to compile some of my favorite photos shot by our photographer, Roey Yohai. I still love every little detail of our wedding and wish we could go back in time!
Our Rehearsal Dinner took place at The Lodge at Hudson Harbor in Tarrytown, New York:
Because I’m from California and my husband is from Central New Jersey, our RD was on the larger side (basically a mini-wedding with ~70 people) due to many people traveling into Westchester, New York for the weekend. The Lodge was the perfect setting, as it was a semi-empty slate and it allowed for us to customize the evening with our wonderful wedding designer and planner, Lindsay Landman.
We decided to go with a ‘Fall’ theme for our RD with jewel tones, pumpkins and many candles to create a warm, comforting atmosphere. We started off with a cocktail hour with a wonderful, live guitarest from Expressway Music and munched on tasty hors d’oeuvres. Later, we sat down to enjoy a 3-course meal by Rivermarket Bar and Kitchen. One of our awesome (and VERY hilarious) best men was our emcee for the evening and a few of our good friends and my youngest sister shared some kind words that began my waterfall of tears for the weekend. We also asked guests to dress in ‘casual-chic’ attire (think business casual, with flare and style), as we didn’t want people to overdress due to the wedding being Black Tie!
Our Wedding Ceremony and Reception was at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah, New York:
Our wedding was everything we imagined…and more! We envisioned a tented Black Tie wedding, with lush flowers, our 200+ family members and friends together, awesome lighting, amazing music, lots of dancing, stunning photography, custom details focusing on us, exquisite food, yummy cocktails – to name a few. Lindsay Landman and her team truly outdid themselves by incorporating our vision, while focusing in on a mixed-metallics vibe and the gorgeous garden that surrounded us at Caramoor. {P.S. It was naturally around 45 degrees this day 2 years ago. Brrr. Of course, today is nearly 60ish. Welcome to life in the Northeast. So unpredictable.}
Instead of writing many words here, I will leave you with a glimpse of my favorite photos, our wedding highlight reel by 15 Minutes of Frame and also share some of our favorite vendors at the bottom of the photos below.
Hope you enjoy! Xx
